Default Blacksmith made ? sword for I.D. and comment

Hi

I don't usually collect European weapons, these not being my area of interest - but found this sword a little while ago that I liked, because of its primitive look.

Can anyone help to identify its origins ? I can find no markings of any kind, and length is approx. 78cm.

It seems untouched, and any tips regarding cleaning this sword would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...
