Default Opinion on keris blade/hilt combo

I put this Bali hilt on this blade and wanted to know if it was a decent marriage?

or this:

are more appropariate for your blade.

OK

Does anyone have a hilt and mendak that they would like to donate so I can properly dress this keris blade.

Smile Commissioned fittings...

Alternatively you could commission a new hilt, mendak and sheath.

An example of a newly commissioned fittings.

Incidentally, this example was acquired with a Balinese hilt like yours.

Default Best material for wrapping a pesi?

Hi All

What would be the best material for wrapping a pesi before attaching the hilt? I have used silk but find it a bit slippery.

Default Bugis and Sumba Hilt?

Louie,

I really don't know, whether my hilts fit your blade or not. As far as I know, the #1 hilt is a Bugis hilt. And the no #2 is Sumba hilt (look at the difference, at the back of the hilt, carved). Sumba is an Island near Lombok. Beside a slide different hilt, the hilt cup also not the same. Please correct me if I am wrong, s'il vous plait... (please, sorry)
