Default horn ? what type? on kris dagger

Hi at all,

I would ask what type of horn is on this kris dagger?

I ve not any idea regarding provenence of this horn.

I don't think that it is nearly porous enough to be whale bone. I wouldn't count out ivory some more detailed photos, but i think from what i can see that it is most probably bone of some sort. Could be antler, but it just doesn't look quite right for it.

Bone definitely, just what type. I think buffalo bone may be a possible candidate too.
