Ariel is right - it looks Ottoman and the hilt looks like a brown agate with gold inlay.

Default Jade Hilt

Hi, I believe the hilt is Jade "Mutton fat", I think it's called. Definitely Ottoman
and a nice example. steve

Hi "weapons 27" ... very nice Ottoman dagger,
you are a lucky guy, because ... I was very interested ...
two reasons made that I didn't bid
- no scabbard
- the mean reason, in fact, I was sure (?) to have seen, a similar some where else,
and I dunno why, I got the feeling (wrong at the evidence) that's was a duplicate,
and for your luck, I left it ... for a very cheap price, really a present

unfortunately, as far as it's not Arabic writing
impossibility to translate what's on the blade
presumably, should be Ottoman language, has to be confirmed
sincere congratulations

It could be either Turkish or Persian in Arabic script. Not uncommon.
