Default Marsh Arab

We do not see so many of these in the UK and so it is nice when one turns up.

A little more unusual with the niello work. I guess that the boat scene is topical though.

The blade needs work as it looks as though a previous owner has used an electric wire brush on it.

Any idea what the script says ?

A very interesting piece.

These are from south Iraq and cover a larger area then al ahwar (the marsh area)

Yours is most interesting because the inscription says "General Kionqham" a name of an English military general?
