Default small bronze figures

Has anyone any idea what part of the world these are from ... they are around 75 mm high and very heavy.

If I had to guess - and I do - I'd say south through southeast Asia.

Very charming figures, especially regarding facial expressions.

I would agree with Bob A.

The one on the right is holding a rice pounder and is a woman.

Could the one on the left be a lute player? If so I wonder if they both are from the area of Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, etc.

very interesting and beautiful pieces. I find the faces very finely articulated compared to similar metal cast figurines I've seen.
