Not quite sure why, but for some reason this looks South American to me. I'm sure that some of our other members with more experience with these items will be able to give you much more accurate information on your mask than just my gut feeling about it.

Best,
Robert

The more I look at this the more (if you put a mustache on it) it reminds me of a puppet used by Jeff Dunham called Jose the jalapeno on a stick.

Thumbs up

FIESTA / FESTIVAL MASKS ARE MADE AND WORN FOR VARIOUS CELEBRATIONS THRU-OUT MEXICO AND SOUTH AMERICA. I DON'T KNOW ENOUGH TO SAY WHICH COUNTRY THIS EXAMPLE CAME FROM, BUT IT IS TYPICAL OF CONTEMPORARY PAINT, COLORS AND DESIGNS USED IN LOCAL FESTIVALS. THERE ARE SOUVENIR MASKS MADE IN OLDER MAYAN AND AZTEC DESIGN FOR SALE IN MEXICO AS WELL. THERE IS QUITE A VARIETY MADE IN MEXICO FROM ANIMALS TO SAINTS AND DEVILS THE OLDER ONES CAN BE CARVED FROM WOOD AND BE REAL WORKS OF ART.
