Default moro hilt

Hello,

Supposedly from an old kris hilt (?). Is the pommel ivory (if so from which possible animal source?).

Circa?

Many thanks in advance for any info on this piece.

Kind regards

Yves

I would say that yes, it is ivory, though i don't think it is elephant. Possibly whale tooth?
Shame about the damage.

I don't know, looks like elephant ivory to me, just cut differently, and probably from Indian elephant ivory.
