Default Persian Stirrups?

After a mail discussion with another forum member I thought let's ask this question here.

I have a pair of stirrups.

What do I know? They were acquired in Iran before 1975 (by a family friend whose estate came partially in my posession).

A collector I know attributed them indeed as Persian and 17th or 18th century.

This is not my field at all (only Indonesian weapons) so I would like to hear if anybody on the forum knows more.

Any input is welcome!

Regards, Erik
