Actually it is Anne's handle. She bought it for my birthday, Halloween, October 31.

Bill, when you get this piece could you please post some close-ups of the hilt all around? I am very interested in taking a better look at it.

BTW, is that handle with the "loose" rattan (Cato, Fig. 42) the same piece (Fig. 43)?

I'm especially interested in the inlay - seems to be another, nice motif!
