the left three, Ibrahiim has already been identified.
(Salaam Chregu, I speak of the 3 on the left.
Extreme left.1.Omani Royal Khanjar used in Salalah.
2 Saudia Abha. (habaabi or ahbaabi) Asir region. (Yemeni hilt)
3 Oman Baatinah coastal ... did one Has A bovine hilt.

Thanks ...
Regards,
Ibrahiim Balooshi al.)

the origin of the other daggers is unclear.
the big up front: = Central Saudi Arabia?
Middle Left: = persian?
Middle Right: = heiaz Yemen?

Number 4 +5?

Thank you for your help

Hi Chregu
Middle left is likely Indo/Persian. It is of Yemen style but the metal toe cap on the scabbard indicates origin elsewhere.
Middle right is from Yemen
Bottom is a Dharia from Western Saudi Arabia.

Hi again Chregu,
I would like you to refer to this previous thread and go to the last post, where the term "habaabi" is discussed http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...hlight=habaabi
Rather than being an area, it is, according to Ibrahiim's response, a convenient term used by Omanis to describe non Omani jambiya.
Ibrahiim has described your #2 as this. It certainly seems to be Saudia but as to actual area, I can not help.

Salaams kahnjar1~ I think it is not so much a convenient term but rather a fairly accurate link to the area it has developed in...since it is from an area .. Abha the capital of the Asiir region ~ the weapon perhaps mispronounced Habaabi... of the Abha area (Abhaabi?) ... once in Yemen but now since the 1920s in Saudia..and influenced directly by the Muscat sea traded Muscat Khanjar.
Regards,
Ibrahiim al Balooshi.
