I have get this dha with ivory handle and silver fittings from a german auction house and would like to know more about it. Age, origin and all other informations. The dha is 46 cm sheathed, the blade is 27 cm and 7,5 mm thick near the handle.

Thumbs up

GOOD QUALITY SILVER, NICE SILVER WIRE FILIGRE DESIGN WORK A GOOD CHUNK OF IVORY AND A SHARP BLADE. WHATS NOT TO LIKE. I SAW SOME DHA LIKE THIS IN THAILAND AND THEY ARE SMALL BUT NICE UNFORTUNATELY I DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO GET ONE. I SUSPECT THEY WERE WORN AS DRESS AND PRESTIEGE ITEMS AND NOT FOR HEAVY WORK OR WAR USE.
WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE IF ANY OF THE DHAFIA SHOWS UP TO FURTHER ENLIGHTEN US.
