Misc Blades for Trade/Sale
Hello.
I'm clearing out a few pieces in trade for Pacific Island clubs or other old Oceanic material. The first is an African Songye knife measuring 21" in overall length. The blade is covered in intricate design work on both sides. The grip has loss at the hilt and pommel area as you can see in the pics. Next is an African Mbole knife measuring 20 1/2" in overall length. The 5 fullers are on either side of the blade, but the small radiating line design is only on one. Pommel is wrapped in Copper. The sword (or swordstick ) measures 23 3/4" in overall length. With the scabbard on the total length is just over 25 1/4". Blade is sharp. I'm not sure as to what country this piece originated from, but the carving style on the handle makes me think 1950s -1970s African work. If you don't have anything to trade as far as South Pacific pieces go I would sell the blades at: Songye 155 , Mbole 175 , and sword 75. Feel free to email me at Joeinked@gmail.com |
