help me for cleaning the blade
I need your knowledge to remove the varnish on the three blades on their case. you have a product idea to use?
the three blades are wootz ... and two gold inlays |

As a rule, acetone is the first thing to try.

Acetone is fine for the blades, just don't get it on any horn pieces (if any) on the handles). It will dry them out and sometimes turn them grey.

Agree, acetone. Then repolish to at least 600 wet or dry, (1200 is even better), degrease, again with acetone. Then use Phosphoric Acid (metal etch) right out of the bottle, no need to dilute. It should give you a nice silver background against the darker wootz crystals. At least it has most of the time for me anyway................Dave.
