Hi, welcome to the forum.

Looks like a persian helmet to me. Unfortunately I cann't tell you if it is an original one or a repro.
The experts on this forum can tell you more, probably asking for more detail pictures from the inside of the helmet.

Yes, Persian 19th century, typical qajar piece. Nice but probably made for those who travel for pleasure. That type of helmet is called Kulah Khud among collectors.

back to the helmet,
what you should like to read; truth or tale ??
let's go for the truth, at least "my truth"

some datas to help you to locate in space your helmet ... "IF" Qajar

the Qajar dynasties;
from Agha Mohammad Khan 1794 - 1797 to Ahmed Shah 1909 - 1925, period of a maximum of 131 years ....

Henk wrote judiciously; Looks like a persian helmet to me. Unfortunately I cann't tell you if it is an original one or a repro.

also, some pic's about one "Kulah Khud Qajar" with me, to establish a base of comparaison

Henk added; The experts on this forum can tell you more, probably asking for more detail pictures from the inside of the helmet.

I'm not an expert, just an "amateurr",
but if indeed provide detail pics from inside should be welcome,
but also one pic focused on the nasal attach, to exam the two (2) white spots, it's metal, alu ?
