More Wilah's

First of all I wish everyone a good and healthy 2012!

I hope you can help me out with 2 of my other wilah's, in total i have 8 wilah's without a sheath, but i shall post them by the two.

The one on the top is i think pamor rante, but thats all i know about it, the blade is very thin, the blade is without the pesi 40 cm.

The one below puzzles me the most, my first thought was that it's factory made, it is a heavy wilah with a thick pesi, the blade is without the pesi 37 cm.

The most importance for me is to know if the are worth it to make a new sheath, and what kind of sheath(area they come from).

Happy new year...

The heavy and sturdy # 2 keris could be tangguh Tuban. maybe a warangan treatment would suffice its true worthiness of a new sheath, or at least a secondhand keris sheath.

I'm not sure what you mean by "factory" made.
I suspect that with a warangan treatment you will discover that the second blade has a very nice pamor wengkon pattern. Looks like a nice keris to me.

This is approximately how your thick blade should look like after warangan treatment. A sheath in East Java or Central Java style would be convenient.

PenangsangII, i didn't expected it was a good wilah, if it is, for sure i make a new sheath for it.

David, i bought this wilah from a picture, to me was told it was gonjo iras, but it wasn't, and the tikel alis(Ithink thats the name of the comma?) looks like it's done with a dremel, and the overall appearance seems to be to neat/tight.
And on top of the gonjo there is some kind of a marking, 3 lines in a V shape, but i see that i judged to quickly.

Jean, that is a beautiful keris, i have once tried to wash mine, but with no good result so i cleaned it, i hope when i get it right it looks somehow like yours.

And the one on top guys, or is that impossible to tell from a picture?
I also have this sheath, and i don't know where it's coming from.

Hello Ben,
AFAIK this style of sheath is from Cirebon/ Northern Java, see attached picture.

Hi Jean, very interesting hilt, congratz..I'm attracted to own such that hilt..But dunno where I can find it so far

To my eye, your Tilam Upih looks like pretty average of keris, sorry to say but sheath, scabbard, and specially Nyamba hilt are so nice..
