African Knife....intricate wire work.......Shona??

katana Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Kent Posts: 2,653	African Knife....intricate wire work.......Shona?? Not certain of the origins (Shona?) or possible age of this knife. Blade is double edged, sharp and has forging and filing marks. The handle and sheath are carved wood almost entirely covered in thin copper wire, braided in places and intricately 'woven'. Has age....too good for a tourist piece... Any ideas, comments..........thankyou Attached Images
