Question Can you identify this knife ?

I found this knife a couple of weeks ago in Holland. The seller knew nothing about the piece. I'm inclined to think it comes from the Philippines. What do the more knowledgeable forum members think ?

Total length : 30 cm
Length of blade : 17 cm

It's a simple knife with a strong back (3 mm near the handle). The wooden scabbard is covered with some kind of fabric.

Sorry, haven't yet got the time to clean it.

I CAN'T SEE THE MARKINGS ON THE BLADE CLEARLY DO THEY LOOK LIKE THOSE SOMETIMES FOUND ON DHA BLADES? IF SO IT MIGHT ORIGINATE SOMEWHERE IN INDOCHINA. THE COLORS AND DESIGN ON THE SCABBARD LOOKS LIKE A BARBER POLE SO JUST FOR FUN I WILL CALL IT A BARBERS KNIFE

These blades are a common pattern for utility knives in mainland SE Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Burma). The top example bears the familiar "S" shaped marks seem on dha/darb from northern Thailand and neighboring areas. The second example may also be Thai.
