Bow, allegedly from Samoa

Gents,

just saw this bow in a shop.
Owner says he was advised it is Samoan.
Can anybody confirm?

Appears to be a twisted hide string which would suggest Africa or India. Still a very nice strong bow.

It is certainly difficult to determine a very simple piece like this.
The bow is made of darh, heavy (tropical?) wood.

The bows from Fiji and Samoa are big like this. The string if it is hide, is a pointer to Africa. East Africa and central Africa has plenty of tropical hard wood. The thing about hide string, is that in Samoa there are no big mammals to make a twisted hide string from. It is a really good bow.

Got it hanging on my wall

Length is 134 cm.
The one end of the string is knotted to the wood.
The other end is quite a simple sling that just slips on.
