Default Where is this from? South America?

5" forged blade with a rectangular ricasso. Tang extends through an octagonal hilt of brass, aluminum, black horn, blonde horn, wood and 2 dark red spacers. Hilt is very heavy. Tang is peened over buttcap. Neat little knife. Any ideas about the area it might be from?
Thanks!

Steve

Default Similar to Canary Island knives

It could well be from South America, it is very similar in construction to the Similar to Canary Island knives of Spain but a bit more crude in it's manufacture. I will PM you a members details who can confirm this.

regards

Gavin
