Could it be a Spanish blade that has been rehandled in Brazil, etc?
The blade is just like an early-mid 19th C Spanish punal I use to have.
Just a thought.

A comparison.

First pic.: handle from one of my Faca de Pontas
Second pic.: handle from a possible Mineira dagger from Brazil, taken from this thread: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...azilian+dagger
Third pic.: handle from the dagger in question

Thank Sajen,
I think “Brazilian with Mediterranean blade” is the most plausible
