Default A mysterious brass Tool

Here I have a large mysterious tool made of thick sheet of brass or bronze. It is not sharpened, 48 cm long incl. the handle. Any idea about the usage and where it comes from? African? Maybe a baker's tool?

I remember being served bastilla in Fez with utensils like these.
The motifs are Tuareg, though.
