Default Indian axe head

just arrived. marking on sides IIX.

WEIGHT 0.324Kg
SIZE 11x3.5x12.5Cm
Eye appears to be 1.25 in. (32 mm.)

Question: is this the right way up or should it be flipped vertically when i re-haft it? or does it matter?

thanks for any replies...

From those I have seen, I would say that's the right way up.

How long a haft will you give it?

about 2 - 2.5 ft. i guess. i'm looking for an ash dowel around a metre to cut it from.thought i'd make it a longer 'tabar zin'. i'll stain it a darker brown.
