Here I am, appealing for help, and all I get is a couple of jokers mocking me...
( Have I succeeded inflicting guilty feelings?)

Default Jokers hey

No Joker here Ariel

You ask for a cross guard and I am trying to ascertain what style you are after.
I will dig out some images if you wish for my help Ariel and perhaps you can identify what style you would prefer to be sourced...Alternatively you could post an image of your preferred style, images always help greatly.

Regards

Gavin

Hey, I thought you were joking! Apologies offered.
The sword I have is an Eastern European kilij-type with a Hungarian blade. Most likely, cossack.
They employed a variety of parts and styles. The most popular one was a kilij-type crossguard and they also used a karabela-type pattern.
Here are examples:

or the one with down-turned quillons, like that:

It needs to be brass.
If you have one, please send me pics and detailed measurements to:
abarkan@umich.edu
Tons of thanks!

It just seemed like a strange request this is not something you just have laying around unlike a keris hilt or a spare scabbard. Sorry if I offended you.
