Default WW2 theater knife with a much older Chinese blade ???

One of my other collecting interests are theater made fighting knives; these can be made from original stock, but much more often than not, they are made from other swords, bayonets, etc.
This knife/ sword by the handle looks to be of Western influence however the blade configuration and the 2 stamps appear to be Chinese or at least Oriental.
The blade measures approx. 14.25" in length and 1.75" at it's widest.
Does anyone recognize the stamps or can they be translated ??
