Saw this on e-pray & decided to risk a tenner on it & got it for less, looks like a cross between a kukhri and a pesh, will see what it looks like when it comes home. not sure what to call it tho, is it a touristy one?

it'll give me something to fix now that i've cleaned up the salawar yataghan i got last week....

Hello,
I saw one at an antique shop here, it was poorly made I thought. The dealer called it a genuine khukri and wanted 300 for it.
I think these are made in India as a cross between khukri and bowie...the scabbard is khukri-like, and Himalayan Imports makes a number of models sort of like this but better quality. The blade on this one could be good though...
Perhaps Spiral will have more to say, he knows khukri :Thumbs up:

I've seen several similar on Ebay over the years. I'd guess it's bazaar quality, but for the money, you can't lose!

Knife made at Dehradun by the people who made the lions head kukri, yours looks an old one though maybe WW2 era, maybe 50s.

Might be tempered might not,

cheers,
Spiral
