Sumatran Keris for sale
Dear All,
for sale a Sumatran Keris, most likely from Riau. The proportions of sheath and blade allow to classify it as a variety of so called "Chieftains Keris", if we accept blades with Rotan cross section belonging to it. The 7 Luk blade is just above 26 cm long, the overall length of Keris is about 39 cm. The blade shows an unusually elongated Pamor Ujung Gunung for the half of blade, the other half being Pamor Biji Nangka. This configuration is intended and rare. The blade has sunken into the sheath on Gandhik side, but, to my experience, it is original to the blade. Buntut is made from buffalo horn. As for age I would estimate the second half of 19th cent, not younger. I am asking EUR 475 + shipment for it. Please contact me via gustavfriedrich@hotmail.com Thanks for viewing!
