Default Kris with coral hilt

A rare kris I think. Malay and Carita I am told. Anyway a big robust fighter from the look. Watered steel blade. Large Akar bahar hulu. Nice scabbard. The tip of the trunk is lost but as Ned Kelly said before he dropped from the gallows, Such is Life. Thoughts welcome. I've stopped pursuing keris that arent Bali orJava due in part to a comment Alan made in passing that got me thinking but some have come my way as bycatch.

Hello Sid,

Good Malay keris blade, indeed!

The scabbard looks like a modern replacement (or maybe refurbished).

Are you really sure the hilt is carved from akar bahar?

Regards,
Kai

That's a nice Perak Keris Sid, congratulations, those hulu types and material are seldom seen these days.
