Default Stone Age find of significance

Here are some REAL antique weapons! Fascinating find and one that points to the possibility of an oceanic crossing versus the Aleutian route.

Good stuff, Mark!
I have long believed ancient peoples were far more at home on the oceans than they are given credit. Thanks for posting

ON the subject of Ocean travel, It has always seemed remarkable to me, how similar is the art-work of the NZ Maori, and that of the N west coast peoples of Canada. So very similar.

The idea that prehistoric people used things like reed boats and rafts to get to the Americas before the formation of Beringia has been speculatively fielded before. This may well be substantial evidence of it.

From what I've read on the subject here and there. It's believed that if this did happen. They would have done it through a few hundred or thousand years of island hoping along the ring of fire.

It seems plausible. A relatively shallow water route wherein kelp forests can grow all along the path. Islands every so often. A fishing culture could have naturally just found it's way from the old world to the new, following the good resources. Never with the aim to go very far. But every new island putting them relatively close to another new island.
