Default Help needed in transcribing an inscription!

On a Moro Kris.
Had some restoration work done on it.
Apologies in advance if the orientation is incorrect.
Thanks.

Magic square? Nice piece, especially with all silver inlay and the naga on the blade.

All I can say on translation is that on the left side picture I can see the word "Allah" but that's it as far as I can tell. I suspect that Otis supposed to be a bismallah, one of the new of God.

Congratulations on a great piece!

Is this kris actually pretty stubby ?
Or is it an optical delusion ?

Battara, Thanks for the partial transcription.

Rick, It does look stubby in the photos. As Spunger called it, the blade is fatty. It somewhat reminds me of a US Civil War era artillery sword.

Spunger, The blade length is 22 inches. Mid-length of the blade, the width is 2 inches and it's heavy.

Here is a photo of the before and after the resto work.

Fantastic kris with unique inlay!!!
I don't dare to mention what the star consisting of double squares (the loops makes it a star) is called
(not to provoke David during X-mas ) but I can confirm that it is not a magic square.

you added the horse hoof pommel, or was it just off and you had it put back together?

Good Day everybody
I confirm that the refurbishing have been done in a mastered way
also, Lotfi gave a right translation, but forget to said that
- ALLAH and MOHAMED are inscribed in each cartouche

I share completely the point of view of Michael, about "magic square",
there is not, on your Kris, unfortunately
"magic square" is very specific, but every time more or less the same shape
you must found a figure with small squares or diamonds, containing;
- digits, or letters inside each one

REGARDS

à +

Dom

A.alnakkas and Dom, Thank you very much for the translation and comments.

VVV and Sajen, Thanks for the comments.

Spunger, the Kris was found sans pommel, so I had it and the half of the band below the pommel crafted.

It came out well, Kino .
Very nice and the pommel looks of an age with the kris .
