Default INTERESTING PHOTOS OF BEJA WARRIORS

I found these on the internet circa 1900-10. Notice the kaskaras,shield and spear.

I think these are from the same region. The first postcard is dated '1909'

Hear is a studio photo of a warrior from the Sudan. Btw I wonder if the cut out in the Beja shield was used as a perch for a spear during combat?
