Strange spear ???
Hi,
Its been a long time ago I was on the forum. I fond a very strange long spear, could be African, Asian? The point is a very long iron pin, 64 cm long and the feet is an iron pin 8 cm long and a decoration above the feet, see pictures. The small strip in the shaft is copper, just above the feet. It seems to be of later Congo origin maybe Ngbandi or a neighboring tribe? Does not look older than the 1930. I would think the long spike end is meant as the business end the copper looks like a reinforces the shaft the smaller cone shaped spike may be used as an anchoring tool for ground placement? More pike like than spear to me.
