maybe from Solingen...

Yes, more likely, i would say.
Isn't this an Omani sword ? Not sure if the blade is European.

It's a Mandingo sword, stamped on both sides F. AO
The blade is European but Spanish, French, German... I need some help please!

Could this perhaps stand for Frente Amplio Opositor, an association during the Somoza-diktatorship in Nicaragua?
