Default Sumatran Parang??

I picked this one up over the summer and have assumed it is Sumatran , but cannot find an identical hilt stlyle in my references.

Any additional info on its more specific origins would be greatly appreciated.

I remember someone mentioning that there seem to be a lot of this general style of sword found on Lombok .

Mine was collected there .

A Batu Lapak at the forte ?

There has also been some discussion on the form of these pommels; a hidden Makara or simply a foliate/vegetive(?) design ?

This is a nice variation .

Charles,

Could you add some additional pictures on this unusual hilt?
