Sumatran Parang??
I picked this one up over the summer and have assumed it is Sumatran , but cannot find an identical hilt stlyle in my references.
Any additional info on its more specific origins would be greatly appreciated. |

I remember someone mentioning that there seem to be a lot of this general style of sword found on Lombok .
Mine was collected there . |

A Batu Lapak at the forte ?
There has also been some discussion on the form of these pommels; a hidden Makara or simply a foliate/vegetive(?) design ? This is a nice variation . |
