Keris Jambi?

I just recieved this Keris and would appreciate if you could help me with your comments.
To me it looks like the hilt is from Jambi?
But I only have a few references from there.
Unfortunately no sheath.

On that site I also found this "Bima hilt" so maybe their classifications aren't so accurate?

But it's nice to know that there are other hilts like mine.
I know I have seen the same hilt somewehere else but can't remember where?
I think it was in a Keris book but couldn't find it before I posted?

You may wish to get a copy of this book about Traditional weapons of people from Jambi region. It's in Bahasa Indonesian, but does have pictures and maps.

Title: Senjata Tradisional Masyarakat Daerah Jambi
Authors : Navarin Karim, Hari Purnomo, Irwan Budiman.
Publisher [Jakarta] : Department of Education and Culture, Director General Cultural, History and Traditional Values, Project Research Cultural Values (Indonesia), 1993.

I'll be looking it up in the Reference Library, when I can find the time...

Adni had a 'related' keris and hulu come in a while back.

Related in the sense that the hulu shares the same 'receded' nose and protruding 'forehead', but not as exaggerated as the keris above. The blade on this example is also very interesting in that it is so slim and lanky. I would only say probably not Minang, not Palembang.

Ah, this is a very grey area for me.

I noticed that the horisontal V-cut also is seen on Jambi hilts.
Like on my Sekin below.
I have seen a Jambi Keris with an almost identical hilt like this in one of the antique stores in Copenhagen.

What do you think about the blade?

Why are there so few Keris classified as typical Jambi?
Did they mostly carry Keris from other regions (Bugis, Minangkabau)?

I have checked some more on the Jambi origin and I am quite convinced that this is the case.
