Default INDIAN DHAL SHIELD

HAVE BEEN ADVISED THIS SHIELD IS FROM GUJRAT STATE OF WESTERN INDIA,FOR MEMBERS TO VIEW WHO ARE KEEN OR COLLECT SHIELDS
A RARE MUTINY -PERIOD INDIAN HIDE TARGE SHILED,DECORATED WITH RED LACQUER AND FLORAL BORDER.THE CENTRAL SECTION WITH FOUR BOSSES.THE REVERSE WITH ARM STRAPS AND FURTHER BORDER DECORATION
21 1/4" IN DIAMETER

I believe these types of styles and colors are often associated with Rajasthan.

What makes you think it is mutiny era? Do you have provenance on/with it?

Generally, I would suggest a little later than that, but not by much.
