Default Maori wotsit?

found this CLO (club-like object) on e-pray. it's following me home. also coming with a touristy patu & a Tiki. looks like a patu with a BIG bite out of one side. dagger? not sure if 'edge' is sharp or rounded. haven't seen anything quite like it in my travels thru the interweb researching maori tools and weapons. not sure if the triangle shapes on the inner edge are thru-holes or if there is a lanyard hole...
tool? weapon? both? neither? more details on arrival.

Default

it arrived,

light at 91 grams, 30 cm. long, 2 cm. thick, 'blade' 4 cm. wide. no holes. grip area roughly 9 c. long, pommel adds another 4 cm. grip x-section is a rounded 2cm. x 2.5 cm. 'blade' x-section is lenticular with a distinct edge both sides.

feels mode like a dagger than a tool. not a 'pounder', more a 'thruster'. feels 'right' - tho right for what i am not sure.

came with a nice tiki, a touristy boat & teeny paddle (missing two thwarts), a blonde narrow 'tray' of some sort - what it was to hold unknown, and a 34 cm. patu carved one side, plain pommel.'tray' is stamped 'carved in rotorua new zealand'. other 4 items are not stamped or labelled.
