Default Bichaq??

I found this knife. Very simple and plain, but it looked to me as a bichaq. Maybe turkish??

To me the form of the hilt indicates a Greek origin. Probably a peasant's knife from the first half of the 20th century. Hopefully, better informed members will follow up with further info.
Regards,
Teodor

Looks like a Cretan dagger to me - same form as Cretan daggers except for the scales not being made of ivory.

Hi, this is crudely made cretan bichaq dagger, somewhere in 1920s-30s.

Gentlemen,

Thank you for your input. It isn't a beauty made from first class materials, but for me it has its charms. Honest and simple. Like Teodor said, a peasant's knife.
