Welcome Ridho!
There's some very knowledgeable people on this forum, and there is a lot of information to be found in past threads. Perhaps that is a good place for you to start in your search to learn more about the keris.

Wilujeng, Ridho!

I'm fairly new here too, and have learned more than I thought I would. Hope you do too.

Thank you Jean..you're one of the person that a adore so much in this forum regard to your knowledge about keris. Its my honor that you comment in my thread. Many thank.
Pulungan mean 'To take care' or 'To pick something". Actually i get the 'Pulungan' name from my father. Its a family name or 'Marga' in the batak/mandailing society. Its was one of the oldest Marga writen in Kitab Batak.
Anyway, i'm so lucky to join this forum because all the member are so nice and humble.
Thank you all.

I'm sure that Jean will thank you for your response also Ridho, but I too wish to offer my thanks. I have been waiting for your response, because the word "pulungan" means something quite different in Javanese. Your clarification has settled my mind. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing Ridho.
Just in case members missed it, Ridho also started a dedicated thread to this particular keris so responses to it would probably be more useful and appropriate there.

Hello Ridho,

Welcome to the forum!

Do I understand correctly that you have Mandailing roots? If you could contribute any insights into traditional blades (keris here or others over at the main "ethno" forum) that would be really great!

I know there are many Mandailing living in diasporas all over Southeast Asia; knowledge on genuine pieces from the traditional culture seems to be very limited though; extant antique pieces seem to be rare - might also get commonly misattributed, too.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Regards,
Kai
