Default Black sea yataghan

I'm very proud to have finally find this yataghan, at a little price.
But i think grip binding and leather collar are missing. I suppose that it is impossible to find a grip?

Seriously Ascalon, very nicely done, and an excellent example especially with the scabbard. The engraving on the spine is really exceptional.

Please do read through the years of discussion that have brought our exclamations and considerable 'entertainment' as linked here.
I believe that proudly, the final determination on the identification of these fascinating swords was keyed to observations by Dr. Lee Jones and finally by Ariel, here on this forum.

All the best,
Jim

Did someone say the F word? here's a flyssa for the sake of comaprison.

A while ago I freed a genie from a beer bottle.
It thanks me and says "what can Genie give you?"
I grin and say "give Emanuel Black Sea yataghan"
Genie looks a bit lost for a moment, finally says "done!" and disapeears.

For a while i wondered where my BSY was...now I know...he gave it to the other Em(m)anuel on the forum

It's a nice one, enjoy it for both of us.
