Default Ethiopia during the Crusades

I am interested in participating in the Crussader vs Saracen battle. I have done a little internet reseach and I have learned that Ethiopians fought on both sides. But I am interested in the Cristian Ethiopian warriors. I remember reading some time ago that an Ethiopian unit armed with spears and clubs was accidently attacked by Europian knights. Can anyone offer any info on this group of Cristian warriors?
