Pistol Identification
Hi all. I recently acquired this pistol along with a Moroccan shula from the same seller. He had no idea of the origin of either pieces.
I’d like to think it has a Moroccan connection. Any ideas please ? |

An apparently functional replica of a Spanish miquelet pistol ... made in Morocco, i would guess !

Hi Fernando and thanks very much. I guess due to the Spanish / Moroccan relationship, this encouraged the copying of weapons ?
Can you tell if it’s a European / Spanish lock or a copy ? |

Like the whole pistol, a Moroccan copy of a typical Spanish Miquelete lock.

It feels comfortable, quite heavy and very well made when in my hand.
Thanks once again Fernando. |
