Default For Sale: Ottoman Yataghan

The handle is made out of wood, which is extremely unusual for this type and has a glass jewel embedded at the top. On one side of the blade is a silverish inlay, and on the other side is a golden one. The sword is light and fast but has a good punch to it as Yataghans tend to. The length denotes that this would had been for infantry with the scabbard being pushed through the belt sash. Structurally the sword is good as it is very solid with no rattles but due to the age there are spots of inactive rust and pitting on the blade.
The sword would had been made in the mid 1800's.

£300.00 GBP or €417.239 EUR

Open to offers and trades.

Hi Battara, sorry but the sword is provisionally sold pending payment. Should it fall through I will have you as second dibs.
