Default Non Standard Yataghan

This is a slightly different yataghan in that the handle is brass, without the typical ears on the pommel of the handle or the reinforcement metal work on the ricasso.
The blade may have originally been Ottoman, but I believe it has been rehilted; so the sword isn't Ottoman or Greek, could it be Persian or maybe Eastern European?
The blade measures 27" long and it appears to be hollow ground on each side.
