Default Spearhead for comments

Hello,

I have bought this spearhead, I thought its Indian judging by the quality but could be north African?

Once cleaned, some script appeared on the socket.

A nice Indian spear. It appears to have Bikaner armory markings. Probably dates to 17th-late 18th C. or so.

Strange - the head of this spear does look exactly like the tip of an older East African (Masai etc) spear ?

Arabian spears look like this too. The blade has excellent quality.

These are supposedly Arabian spears. So I guess it is Arabian... now the script... could be Arabic but I am not being able to read it? Its currently in Qatar and should be sent to me later on.

I have this Arab gun, which has inscriptions of similar style / language?
Perhaps it could help pin-point your spear?

Regards

Not to derail the thread, but the last spear on the right in the book image looks very much like a form common on Somalia.

What does the other side of the head look like? Are both sides ridged?

Senegalese spears look like some Celtic ones
Nevertheless there is no link
It is the reason why, I think the track of the script is a good track...
