Default Spiral stitching

Hello,
It looks that the craftsnmanship of spiral stitching (with wire) used by Ottoman makers of scabbards is dying out and it is becoming very difficult to find somebody who still handle this kind of "art". Please, I would appreciate any piece of information about the technique, or even instrucion (manual) how to proceed.
Best
Martin

Hi Martin,

Forum member Aleksey G. posted some amazing restoration work a few years ago. He advertized that he and his father could do th kind of stitching you're looking for.

Good luck!
