Default small ivory dha dagger for share

Hello everybody,

I wanted to show you this small ( burmese ? ) dha dagger or big knife
( 37cm long ).
The hilt is made of a solid large piece of ivory and is really heavy.
Not ergonomic or easy to handle,
I wonder id these piece were more for ritual use than for use it as a real knife.

The blade is interesting too: large and blackened ( not rusty at all...)
Is it common ?
I hesitate to sand it or leave it like that !

What do you think ?

Kind regards

I think Burma or Shan also. I have something similar with a tiger canine as handle. Ritual or talismanic.

I wouldn't mess with the blade.

Close up picture of sheath would be pleasant to see. Photo is a bit blurred.
