Sabre Abordaje 1873?
Added this to my French yat bayonet mods. Possibly made as a hanger for a naval/marine officer or NCO? Not many boardings since 1873, except maybe in SE asia. Would be handy on the Mekong...Wending it's way from Spain.

This is a hilt of the French "Sabre d'officiers M 1845" and the blade of a French Yatagan-bajonet M 1866.

Yes, I have one of the french sabres, and one of the yat bayonets, as well as a horn handled hunting sword with one of the yat bayonet blades, and a brass handled non-French double edged yat bladed sidearm, probably German/Prussian, that all fit a French 1866 scabbard. I hope this new one fits it too
