Default War club from New Guinea or what?

Hello everyone,

I just inherited a small collection of oriental arms and I dont know very much about these, as my main interest is European weaponry but I might start out with this field as well.

First out is a war-club, 115 cm long of heavy dark wood. Carvings in the handle and a head of root spikes. Anyone willing to help me identify country of origin?

Best regards/Daggpil
