Default kindjal for comment and restoration of the scabbard ?

It measures 65 cm long blade 50 cm,
the handle is a two-part metal.rest of inlays of silver on the handle... the thickness of the blade 4.30 mm at the thickest...No Groove on the blade.

the leather on the scabbard is in poor condition,I thought changing the leather, "think about you?"

good day
I know that on the "net" we find the "ray skin", also called "galucha"
the Ottomans they used it, to cover sometimes the scabbards for yatagans
"think about" ... at least that's what I would try
